City/Neighborhood:Dar Es Salaam.

What project are you working on now? Raise Funds for my Project by Organizing An Art Exhibition/Workshop soon. And Painting for an Exhibition in June at Black Tomato.

What's the last show that you saw? Did not watch any show today but I read about Feng Shui Art online. That counts?

What's the last show that surprised you? Surprised me? Nope! It almost took away my breath leaving me speechless and my so-called-mouth wide open. I went through Affordable Art Event in NY online. If only I could reach there!!

Why? It is one of the best Event that I have come across online. I must say I should apply for it very soon!

What's your favorite place to see art? Art in someone's heart! People having art around them at home, appearance and in their eyes. Art should be everywhere.

Do you make a living off your art? Yes

What's the most indispensable item in your studio? My Easel which I wanted for years and finally I got.

Where are you finding ideas for your work these days?Looking at Brides, going through bridal books.

Do you collect anything?  Coins, brushes, perfumes, text books and Digital photographs.

What's the last artwork you purchased? I have purchased a Book that contains Paintings from the 18th Century.

What's the weirdest thing you ever saw happen in a museum or gallery?Watching Spiders crawl everywhere!

What's your art-world pet peeve? Being the only brown Muslim woman in the room at Art events wearing head scarf.

What's your favorite post-gallery watering hole or restaurant? I like exploring places from indoor to outdoor and I look around and imagine that there are walking paintings around me.

Do you have a gallery/museum-going routine? Yes. All of them. I try not to miss.

What's the last great book you read? I had a great time reading a Magazine by Oprah. I must say it is a Great Mag! I don't remember reading any book. I guess I read anything I come across. Or I forget.

What work of art do you wish you owned? Right now? an Art Summit.

What would you do to get it? Prayers! and Support from Donors.

What under-appreciated artist, gallery, or work do you think people should know about? I believe Tanzanian Artists in one way or the another all of them in some way.

Who's your favorite living artist? Stephen bennet, Burdick, Aamir Khan and Muzu. Also I have a list, books and collection of other artists whose work just skips my heart.

What are your hobbies? Watching very good movie very loud.
